Duties and Responsibilities (but not limited to): Provide haircuts for clients of all ages including complex styles. Use blow dryers and styling tools to finish haircuts and styles ensuring a professional look. Offer advice on color choices based on the client's skin tone, natural hair color, and desired results. Apply hair color, highlights, lowlights and other coloring techniques according to client preferences. Apply deep-conditioning treatments or other products to improve hair health. Provide services such as scalp massages and treatments to address issues like dandruff, dryness, or oiliness. Create a welcoming atmosphere for clients and building rapport to encourage repeat visits. Assist in scheduling appointments and suggesting follow-up appointments. Professionally address any client concerns or dissatisfaction and work to resolve issues so that customer will have positive experience. Keep workstations, tools, and equipment clean and sanitized. Follow health and safety regulations. Handle and dispose of chemical products like hair dye, bleach, and relaxers according to safety guidelines. Assist in keeping track of product inventory, ensuring the salon is stocked with necessary products and tools. Help with booking appointments and managing the calendar. Process payments, handle cash, and manage credit card transactions for services and product sales. Qualifications: Certificate III in Hairdressing Three years of experience can be used in lieu of the qualification. Other skills and requirements: Requiring a minimum of 1 year of work experience in a relevant role Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Robust knowledge of complex styles Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
