This role offers a great mix of regular production work and custom fabrication, primarily using mild steel, in a well-equipped workshop environment. About the Role In this hands-on position, you’ll be involved in the fabrication and welding of components for the fire protection industry. Your work will include:
- Fabrication and welding of mild steel components
- Working mainly with structural steel, expanding to some sheet metal, tube, and pipe
- Reading and interpreting fabrication drawings
- Primarily MIG welding
- Workshop-based manufacturing
- Maintaining a safe, clean, and organised workspace About You You’ll be someone who takes pride in your work and enjoys working both independently and as part of a team. Ideally, you’ll have:
- Proven experience as a welder/fabricator working with mild steel
- Confidence reading and working from drawings
- Robust attention to detail and quality workmanship
- Focus on safe working practices
- A reliable and punctual work ethic
- Flexible and adaptable attitude
- White Card (preferred)
- Trade qualification an advantage, but not essential What We Offer
