Additional Information:
- This role is permanent full-time, 76hrs/fortnight
- The internal job title for this role is Visual Merchandising/Activity Co-worker
- You will need the availability to work a range of hours between 7:00am to 4:00pm Monday to Friday (and occasional weekend or Public Holiday shifts, as per business needs).
As a Visual Merchandising/Activity Co-worker your responsibilities will include:
- Demonstrating the uniqueness of the IKEA product range through visual merchandising techniques in store displays.
- Engaging your others by visualising, planning, and presenting commercial ideas.
- Providing home furnishing solutions for a single product or a combination of products to inspire and improve people’s life at home.
- Contributing to positioning the IKEA store as the first choice for home furnishing in your local market.
- Working with new and unique display concepts to motivate people to visit the IKEA store more frequently.
- Constantly on the move in the store actively implementing and maintaining displays your tasks and duties.
As Visual Merchandising/Activity Co-worker you have:
- A design qualification with professional experience, or equivalent years of professional visual merchandising experience is required to be successful in this role.
- Experienced in using design programs such as REVIT and/or Sketch Up, with the ability to plan and implement designs from sketches into reality.
- Passionate about home furnishing and people’s lives at home.
- Creative thinking, commercial visual competence and a keen eye for design.
- You are an active, practical, hands-on individual with proven ability to plan and organise your time to meet deadlines in a fast-paced retail environment.
- Robust stakeholder management and effective communication at all levels.
