Teacher - Home Economics (City of Rockingham)

This is a permanent full-time position commencing as soon as possible in consultation with the successful applicant. Warnbro Community High School (WCHS) is seeking a highly motivated and effective Home Economics Teacher. Located 50 kilometres south of Perth in the beach‑side communities of Warnbro and Port Kennedy, WCHS provides a vibrant and nurturing learning setting that takes a holistic approach to the growth and development of students. This role contributes to a professional learning community committed to engaging in evidence‑based practice across all Learning Areas. The Role The successful applicant will demonstrate high expectations, a willingness to engage with established whole‑school foundation practices, and a passion for teaching Home Economics – Food. The role requires:
- Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to deliver the highest‑quality curriculum delivery and programs within the Technologies Learning Area.
- A thorough understanding of instructional and curriculum design and keeping abreast of the latest developments within the Learning Area.
- Experience delivering Senior School courses (desirable).
- Capability to teach across other areas within technology (considered an advantage).
- Engagement with an explicit approach to the development of knowledge and skills while being responsive to student needs.
