- $122,467 gross per annum (inclusive of all allowances), plus superannuation**

As part of the Operations and Fleet Services team within the Asset Services Directorate, you will provide operational leadership, direction, development, mentoring and support for the Building Maintenance Team. This role will plan, organise and manage the maintenance and repair of the City’s buildings and many built form assets by preparing budgets, developing relevant policies and directing contractors and staff. You will use your strong leadership abilities to coordinator all activities within the Building Maintenance team including any contractors, and ensure that Workplace Health and Safety and general service standards are met.
The position will allow you to utilise your experience in developing and implementing capital and operational programs and to be involved in the consultation process during concept, planning and construction phases of infrastructure projects. Your experience in the preparation of contract documentation, technical specifications and assessment of submissions will benefit you in managing the supply of goods and services in accordance with the City’s Procurement Policy and Procedures. A current and valid ‘C’ class driver’s licence is essential for this role.
- Formal qualification in building, facility management, business or a related field
- Well-developed written communication skills including report and operational development writing
- Extensive knowledge of technical standards and specifications relevant to Building Maintenance
- Highly developed knowledge of asset maintenance principles
- Extensive experience in the preparation of contract documentation, technical specifications and assessment of submissions (including cost estimation of materials and equipment)
**We are offering a remuneration package** **of between $116,724 to $122,467 gross (inclusive of all allowances) plus superannuation**, dependent on skills and experience, and:
- 11% superannuation with the option to co-contribute up to a further 5%
- A variety of health and wellbeing programs including a physical health reimbursement subsidy payment of up to $150 per annum, free flu vaccinations, free skin cancer checks, mental health programs and Employee Assistance Provider (EAP) services
- Adaptable working arrangements, including rostered days off and two additional paid days of absence per annum
