Job Description About the Project The East Rockingham Waste-to-Energy Project is a landmark facility in Western Australia that converts municipal and commercial waste into renewable energy. It will process up to 300,000 tonnes of waste annually, generating sustainable electricity for thousands of homes while reducing landfill. ACCIONA is delivering this complex infrastructure project with cutting‑edge technology and a solid focus on environmental outcomes. About the Opportunity Implement and monitor systems and processes through good practice to maximise the process and ensure health, safety and environmental compliance on a 24‑hour shift system. As part of a team, carry out plant duties to support the process performance within health, safety and environmental compliance. The role involves control of materials and traffic throughout the facility. Build and maintain relationships with colleagues to ensure effective communication across the site. Be totally flexible and carry out other duties identified from time to time to ensure site objectives are achieved. Responsibilities
- Carry out routine tasks and testing of plant equipment
- Update the shift log including plant and process changes; ensure a diligent shift handover to the following shift
- Operate the weighbridge and off‑loading systems within contractual requirements
- Ensure that all defect reporting within CMMS is effective and followed through to completion
- Assist the Tipping Hall Supervisor to operate the facility through timely operation of materials‑management systems and processes
- Engage with and form strong working relationships with the Shift Fuel Reception Operators to enable seamless workflows led by the Tipping Hall Supervisor Required Skills and Competencies
- 3+ years industrial work experience
- 2+ years experience with heavy machinery and moving plant
- Experience working closely with large and diverse O&M; teams
- Previous experience within the renewable energy or waste management sectors (highly desirable)
