Workshop Service Technician III (City of Rockingham)

Job Purpose Performs varied and more complex assembly and tests of mechanical/hydraulic assemblies. Job Description
- Assembles and tests assemblies according to specifications. Applies advanced skills in procedures, techniques, tools, materials and/or equipment in area of expertise.
- Completes required test documentation including test reports, failed test reports and NCRs. Assists with FAT's (Factory Acceptance Tests) and SIT's (System Integration Tests).
- Assists in preparing, maintaining and utilizing test stations and test equipment for factory and system acceptance testing.
- Uses material handling equipment to move parts, components and sub-assemblies from one work or storage area to another as required.
- Collects and inputs information in specific systems for cost tracking purposes.
- Performs all duties in a protected manner and keeps all employees aware of dangers in work area.
- Assists more experienced Assembly Technicians as assigned and supports in training less experienced colleagues. Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent technical diploma.
- 3 years of experience in field.
- Proficiency to read and interpret drawings and technical documentation in assembly.
- Knowledge/use of complex tools, equipment and techniques (e.g., FAT, Gas testing, etc.). Skills
