Landscape Maintenance Project Manager (City of Rockingham)

About The Role We are seeking an experienced Landscape Maintenance Project Manager to lead the delivery of public open space and streetscape maintenance services within the City of Rockingham. This role will oversee high‑profile council contracts, ensuring parks, reserves, foreshore areas, and streetscapes are maintained to a high standard for the local community. Operating in a coastal environment, you will manage diverse landscapes including turf, gardens, irrigation systems, and natural areas, ensuring compliance with strict service levels and environmental considerations. This is a full‑time position available for immediate start. Key Responsibilities
- Manage all aspects of landscape maintenance operations across City of Rockingham contracts
- Deliver works in accordance with contract specifications, service levels, and KPIs
- Lead and coordinate supervisors, crews, and subcontractors across multiple sites
- Program and schedule maintenance activities including turf, horticulture, irrigation, and litter control
- Monitor and manage budgets, cost control, and financial performance
- Maintain solid working relationships with City of Rockingham representatives and stakeholders
- Ensure compliance with WHS, environmental management, and quality systems
- Manage coastal and sandy soil conditions, plant selection, and water‑wise practices
- Drive continuous improvement, innovation, and contract growth opportunities About You
- Proven experience managing local government landscape maintenance contracts
- Strong understanding of turf management, horticulture, and irrigation systems
- Experience working in coastal environments and sandy soils (highly regarded)
- Demonstrated leadership experience managing large outdoor workforces
- Strong financial and commercial acumen
- Ability to interpret and manage detailed contract specifications and KPIs
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
- Relevant qualifications in horticulture, landscaping, or project management
