The Trustee for THE MAGNUM DISCRETIONARY TRUST is a leading Australian scrap metal recycling and trading company specialising in the **collection, processing, logistics, and distribution of ferrous and non-ferrous metals, e-waste, and recyclable materials**. With operations across Queensland, Northern Territory, and international export markets, we operate a dynamic and high-volume supply chain environment.

**About the Role**

We are seeking an experienced **Distribution Manager** to manage and coordinate our end-to-end **supply chain, logistics, procurement, and distribution operations**. This role is critical to ensuring efficient transportation, storage, and delivery of materials across domestic and international markets.

**Key Responsibilities**
- Plan, organise and manage **supply chain operations, logistics, warehousing, and distribution activities**:

- Coordinate **transport, fleet operations, and delivery schedules** for scrap metal and recyclable materials
- Manage **inventory control, stock levels, and storage systems**:

- Liaise with **suppliers, contractors, logistics providers, and customers** to ensure timely procurement and dispatch
- Oversee **import/export logistics, shipping documentation, and compliance requirements**:

- Monitor **supply chain performance**, analyse inefficiencies, and implement process improvements
- Negotiate **contracts, pricing, and service agreements** with suppliers and transport providers
- Ensure compliance with **Work Health & Safety (WHS), environmental, and regulatory standards**:

- Supervise and coordinate staff involved in **logistics, warehousing, and distribution**

**Skills and Qualifications**
- Bachelor’s degree _(or minimum 5 years relevant work experience in lieu of formal qualification)_
- Minimum **1-2 years of relevant experience** in supply chain, logistics, or distribution management
- Strong knowledge of **logistics coordination, inventory management, procurement, and transport operations**:

- Experience with **import/export procedures and freight coordination** highly desirable
- Excellent **communication, organisational, and problem-solving skills**:

- Ability to work in a **fast-paced, high-volume operational environment**

**Essential Requirements**
