**About us**: We are a 40 year old family business specialising in the supply of bakery ingredients across Southeast Queensland. We operate a fleet of trucks from our warehouse facility in Tennyson.

**About the Role**: We are seeking a detail-oriented, highly organised and self-motivated Accounts Officer to join our finance team on a contract basis. The office hours are between 7:00am and 4:00pm Mon-Fri.

This role is ideal for someone with strong numerical skills and a passion for accuracy and customer service, who can contribute to the smooth operation of day-to-day operations.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Accounts payable
- process invoices, supplier claims, payments, and expense claims
- Accounts receivable
- invoicing customers and ensuring overdue debtors are followed up
- Process weekly payroll
- Reconcile bank statements and supplier statements
- Process customer orders and assist in answering the phone during peak hours
- Co-ordinate shared mail inboxes
- Liaise with internal teams and external stakeholders
- Ensure compliance with financial policies and regulations

**Your Skills and Experience**:

- More than 1 year experience in a finance administration role where accounting principles, record keeping and accuracy were essential
- Permanent resident status or equivalent Australian work rights
- Strong customer service skills, ethical standards, confidentiality, and sense of loyalty
- Strong attention to detail and focus on accuracy
- Be self-motivated with a sense of urgency
- Understand the importance of being well organised and self-managed
- Strong Microsoft Office skills
- Word, Excel, & Outlook.
- Excellent team player
- Demonstrated ability to learn new tasks quickly and to work autonomously
- Roll your sleeves up approach to task variety
- Experience with Odoo ERP system and FoundU payroll experience would be well regarded but not essential.
