Chef Full Time (City of Ipswich)

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Chef to join our team at Punjabeez Camira Pty Ltd. As a full-time Chef, you will be responsible for preparing and cooking authentic Indian dishes to the highest standards. You will work closely with our kitchen team to ensure the smooth running of our restaurant and provide our customers with an exceptional dining experience. Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and cook a variety of Indian dishes according to traditional recipes and our restaurant's menu
- Ensure all dishes are cooked and presented to the highest standards of quality and consistency
- Monitor and maintain stock levels of ingredients and supplies, placing orders as needed
- Train and supervise junior kitchen staff, ensuring they adhere to food safety and hygiene standards
- Work closely with the kitchen team to develop new menu items and specials
- Maintain a clean and organized kitchen, following all food safety and hygiene regulations
- Collaborate with restaurant management to create and implement cost-effective menus and specials
- Ensure all kitchen equipment is in positive working condition and report any maintenance or repair needs
- Adhere to all company policies and procedures, including health and safety regulations
- Maintain a positive and professional attitude at all times, promoting a harmonious and efficient work environment Qualifications and Experience
- Minimum Certificate 3 in Commercial Cooking
- Minimum 12 months experience in a similar role, preferably in an Indian restaurant
- Extensive knowledge of Indian cuisine and cooking techniques
- Strong understanding of food safety and hygiene regulations
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
- Strong organizational and time-management abilities
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required We offer a competitive salary of $75,000 to $80,000 plus superannuation for this full-time position.
