Accountant Rocklea

Metal Biz Recyclers is one of the leading metal recycling companies in Qld, with three branches across Brisbane. We are looking for an experienced management accountant to support our team based at Rocklea.

Qualifications and skills: -

· Minimum 3 years’ experience in a management accounting role

· Bachelor’s degree in accounting or appropriate professional accreditation

· Advanced XERO Software skills

· Advanced knowledge of accounts payable, accounts receivable and payroll

· Attention to detail

· Knowledge of relevant tax legislation

· Organisational and time management skills

· Solid communication and interpersonal skills

· Ability to use the company’s customised software.

· A team player with a friendly personality

· A positive and professional behaviour

Responsibilities: -

· Monthly management account preparation

· Conduct regular reviews of the cost allocation process to facilitate disbursement of overheads across programs/projects

· Help the business choose and manage company investments, risk management, budgeting, planning, strategizing, and decision making.

· Manage the company’s overall maintenance of the books of account

· Manage the accounts payable, accounts receivable and payroll

· providing financial and taxation advice on business structures, plans and operations including merger/ acquisitions

· Help the business to grow by improving its systems and procedures

· Prepare the financial reports for the Board of directors, management, and Government bodies.

· Manage bank guarantees and provide recommendations regarding customer credit terms

· Manage EOM and EOFY accounting processes and prepare relevant reports

· Maintain the fixed asset register

· Liaise with external auditors as required

· Assist the accountant with the creation and review of financial policies and procedures

· Prepare budgets and report ongoing variances

· Maintain internal control systems Create and update records and databases with personnel, financial and other data
