Description
**You know the field work inside out. You know your plants. Now take your field career to the next level.**
You have 2-5 years of experience and you know that land management is complex. You love the work but you’re ready to do more than just follow instructions. You are looking for a company that practices **active stewardship -**building resilient landscapes that function for nature _and_ the people living on them.
**Who We Are.**We are on a mission to be SEQ's trusted partner for private landowners. We move beyond the binary of either exploiting landscapes versus **treating nature like a museum piece**. Instead, we focus on building **resilient landscapes.**Systems that are biodiverse, beautiful, and productive.
We take a pragmatic, long-term view. We work with clients to integrate conservation with their lifestyle and goals. Whether it’s managing high-value timber trees or designing a revegetation project that works _with_ cattle rather than against them, we meet the landowner where they are to create enduring health for the land.
**The Role: Field-Based Leadership.**We are looking for a **Senior Technician** ready to **transition into a leadership role**. We pay you above the Team Leader rate from day one, and we provide the mentorship to help you officially step into the title.
This is a hands-on role with added responsibility:
- **Active Stewardship**: You are on the ground executing complex restoration and maintenance projects. You focus on long-term resilience, not just tick-box compliance.
- **Site Ownership**: You aren't just laboring. You are thinking. You will handle field reporting, site decisions, and client communication.
- **Business Exposure**: Interested in how the business works? We open the door for you to learn **quoting, project design, fleet maintenance, and business planning**.
- **Autonomy**: We hate micromanagement. If you see a way to refine a process or improve a site outcome, **suggest** **it and deliver.**
**About You** You are a critical thinker. You don’t just look at a site and see weeds. You see a system (water, soil, livestock, people).
- **Experience**: 2-3+ years of practical experience in Bush Regeneration, Forestry, or Land Management.
- **Qualified**: Certificate III in Conservation & Ecosystem Management (or equivalent) is essential. **Don't have it yet?** If you think you'd be a great fit, we still want to hear from you.
- **The Mindset**: You understand that a "weed" is sometimes performing a function (like erosion control). You prioritise function and landscape resilience.
- **Communication**: You are comfortable talking to landholders. You can explain _why_ we are doing something, not just _what_ we are doing.
- **Ambition**: You want to manage your own professionnal evelopment. You identify the skills you need (e.g., Chainsaw tickets, Project Mgmt experience), and we help you get them.
- **Essentials**: Driver’s Licence, White Card, Chem Cert, and strong Plant ID.
**The Package**
- **Work-Life Balance**: We operate on an **8 or 9-day fortnight roster.**Enjoy a long weekend every second week.
- **Top Pay**: You are paid above minimum Team Leader rates immediately to reflect the responsibility you are taking on.
- **Professional Development**: A clear development plan including an annual budget for relevant tickets, courses, and training.
- **Great Gear**: We provide top-of-the-line equipment and vehicles. No half-measures.
**Ready to step up?** If you are ready to mix diverse field work with leadership and strategy, we want to hear from you.
**Job Types**: Full time, Part time, Casual
Pay: $65,000.00
- $85,000.00 per year
**Benefits**:
- Professional development assistance

- Australia (required)
