Maintainer Mechanical - Residential - Cape Lambert (Point …, Point Samson

About the role We are looking for an experienced, safety conscious Mechanical Maintainer to join our team at Cape Lambert. The purpose of this role is to provide a safe and efficient facility through the execution of mechanical fault finding, planned and opportune maintenance. Responsibilities
- Complete preventative, corrective, planned and operational maintenance for all equipment in the fixed plant area, including conveyors, balanced machines and car dumpers.
- Conduct routine inspections of all fixed plant assets.
- Maintain a high level of safety awareness and comply with company policies and procedures.
- Actively contribute to continuous improvement projects by increasing safety whilst reducing risk and cost.
- Utilise SAP to record maintenance tasks, ensure correct assignment and completion to the relevant standard/specification.
- Isolate equipment for maintenance and operational tasks. Qualifications
- A commitment to the safety of yourself and your team.
- A Mechanical Engineering, Fitting or Fabrication Trade Qualification.
- Experience working on car dumpers, stackers, reclaimers and shiploaders.
- Proficiency in motor/gearbox, pulley and bucketwheel change-outs, and ability to conduct high‑quality maintenance inspections.
- Working at Heights, confined space, EWP and forklift tickets/​licences.
- A Manual C‑class Australian driver’s licence (HR desirable).
