About the Role We are currently recruiting for an experienced Electrical Engineer to join our Resources team supporting the long‑term Civil and Electrical Construction scopes at Barrow Island. As the Project Engineer, you will be responsible for overseeing the execution of electrical activities, providing technical input, and supporting the wider team in achieving overall project success. About Barrow Island Barrow Island is located around 60 kilometres from the mainland and approximately 139 kilometres west of the Port of Dampier. It’s also home to Chevron’s Gorgon Project and WA Oil operations, the largest oil field discovered in Western Australia. Ertech has been a major service provider to Chevron Australias Gorgon Project for over 10 years. Barrow Island provides excellent on‑site accommodation including meal services, gym facilities, sporting facilities such as a football field, golf simulator, bike hire, swimming pools, basketball court, tennis court and a cricket pitch. Responsibilities
- Lead assigned scopes of work, ensuring projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest standards.
- Provide and seek technical advice across design, construction, and program modifications.
- Maintain solid project performance, even in challenging conditions, and take ownership of issues in your scope.
- Plan, coordinate, and manage resources across work areas and teams to achieve successful outcomes.
- Apply sound commercial judgement to decisions, contributing to project profitability.
- Build positive relationships by understanding client needs and delivering quality outcomes that meet contract, budget, and compliance requirements.
- Ensure all site activities comply with HSEQ standards, demonstrating strong commitment to safety, quality, and environmental performance.
- Select and engage capable suppliers and subcontractors based on quality, safety, and value for money.
- Oversee subcontractor performance and resource efficiency to deliver successful outcomes. Qualifications
- Tertiary qualifications in Bachelor of Civil Engineering or similar.
- 5‑7 years of relevant experience in the relevant industry.
- Ability to obtain a National Police Clearance.
- White Card – CPCWHS Prepare to Work Safely in the Construction Industry.
