Electrical and Instrumentation Technician (Roma)

Senex is currently seeking an experienced Electrical & Instrumentation Technician to join the team. Based out of Roma and working a 15/13 roster, you’ll play a key role in maintaining and repairing electrical and instrumentation systems that power and protect our CSG infrastructure. Key accountabilities will include:
- Performing preventative and reactive maintenance, servicing, and repairs on a wide range of systems and equipment including generators, VSDs, RTUs, transmitters, radios, pumps, and metering devices
- Supporting installation, calibration, fault finding, diagnostics, and testing of electrical, instrumentation, and communications systems
- Assisting with risk assessments, SOP development, and ensuring compliance with PTW, LOTO, and weed hygiene protocols
- Collaborating with the Projects Team on commissioning and start-up of current systems
- Coordinating contractors and working closely with our Brisbane-based IE&C; Engineer to ensure HSE compliance
- Maintaining and inspecting Ex Rated Electrical Equipment in Hazardous Areas (EEHA), particularly Ex n for well sites. About You You’re a qualified and experienced technician with:
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in upstream Oil and Gas operations and maintenance.
- QLD Electrical Licence and Cert III in Instrumentation & Control.
- Cert IV in Electrical Equipment in Hazardous Areas (EEHA).
- Gas Test Atmospheres Certificate is desirable
- Experience with PLCs, VSDs, and fault finding in control circuits.
- Familiarity with Permit to Work systems.
