Fuse Recruitment currently seeking experienced and reliable Riggers to join a team for a Distribution centre site build based in Eastern Creek. These are permanent roles with our client with the contracts ranging for 6- 12 months and possibility of further extension.

The Client: An industrial engineering and automation provider delivering design, manufacturing, installation, and maintenance solutions for industrial operations. Specialises in factory automation, robotics, electrical services, materials handling, process systems, and workshop manufacturing. Supports industries including mining, manufacturing, food processing, packaging, and construction with end-to-end project delivery, from concept and engineering through to commissioning and ongoing technical support.

- Free onsite parking! The Role: We are seeking experienced and safety-focused Riggers to support the construction of a large-scale refrigerated distribution centre in Western Sydney. The role involves coordinating and executing lifting operations for structural steel, precast panels, mechanical plant, refrigeration systems, and heavy construction materials across the project site.

The successful candidates will work closely with crane operators, dogmen, steel fixers, and site supervisors to ensure all lifting activities are completed safely, efficiently, and in accordance with Australian standards and site procedures

Rigger:Key Responsibilities:

- Perform rigging and lifting operations for structural and mechanical installations
- Safely moving, positioning, aligning, and assisting installation of heavy machinery and structural components.
- Install and dismantle rigging gear including chains, slings, shackles, spreader bars, and lifting beams
- Assist with placement of steel structures, precast concrete panels, refrigeration equipment, and plant machinery
- Marking where conveyor legs will be fixed, setting out runway rails for gantry robots, marking crane beam positions and locating embedded plates
- Drilling and Pitting duties such as drilling slabs for conveyer supports and marking pit locations, lowering machinery into pits and aligning pit mounted equipment
- Conduct pre-start inspections of rigging equipment and lifting gear
- Interpret lift plans, load charts, and site drawings
- Communicate effectively with crane operators using approved hand and radio signals
- Ensure compliance with WHS regulations, SWMS, and site safety requirements
- Maintain clean and safe work areas
- Participate in toolbox talks and safety meetings
- General site assistance where required
- Maintain a clean and organised work area Experience required:To be successful in obtaining these roles you will have:

- Valid High Risk Work Licence – Rigging (RB, RI, or RA)
- White Card (Construction Induction)
- Working at Heights ticket
- Dogging licence (highly regarded)
- EWP, Telehandler, or Forklift tickets advantageous
- Current driver’s licence and reliable transport
- Previous experience on large-scale commercial, industrial, or logistics construction projects
- Experience working around cranes and heavy lifting operations
- Experience with complex lifts, gantry and conveyor installation and automation projects
- Ability to work in rapid-paced construction environments
- Strong understanding of lifting safety and load restraint
- Ability to read and follow lift studies and construction drawings
- Strong teamwork and communication skills
- Refrigerated warehouse or cold-storage project experience advantageous
- Strong commitment to workplace health and safety
