**Part-Time | Afternoon Shifts | Immediate Start**

We are currently seeking compassionate and reliable Disability Support Workers to provide in-home and community-based support for a male client in Rooty Hill. This is a rewarding opportunity to make a meaningful difference in someone’s daily life by promoting independence, wellbeing, and social connection.

**About the Role**

You will be supporting an adult male living with a neurological condition and vision impairment, which impact mobility and day-to-day functioning. The role focuses on providing person-centred care, emotional support, and assistance with daily activities in a respectful and empowering manner.

**Key Responsibilities**
- Provide companionship and emotional support, building a strong and trusting relationship
- Assist with mobility and secure movement within the home and community (walking tolerance up to ~50 metres)
- Support community participation, including appointments and light social outings
- Assist with light domestic duties such as cleaning and general household upkeep
- Help establish and maintain a consistent daily routine through prompting and guidance

**Shift Details**
- **Hours**: Approximately 4:00 PM
- 7:00 PM
- Flexibility required based on client needs

**About You**

**Essential**:

- Experience in disability support or a similar role
- Patient, empathetic, and reliable
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to support individuals with reduced mobility

**Highly Desirable**:

- Male support workers (based on client preference)
- Cultural understanding of Indian background
- Experience supporting individuals with vision impairment
- Driver’s licence and access to a reliable vehicle

**Compliance Requirements (mandatory)**
- Current **NDIS Worker Screening Check** (or willingness to obtain)
- Current **Working With Children Check (WWCC)** (or willingness to obtain)
- Valid **First Aid & CPR Certificate**:

- Current **National Police Check**:

- Full Australian working rights
- Valid driver’s licence and access to an insured, reliable vehicle (preferred)
