**Event Manager at Sydney Zoo**
Located in the heart of Western Sydney, Sydney Zoo strives to showcase a broad range of native and exotic animals using technology and advanced exhibit design, with a strong focus on animal welfare, conservation, and educating our visitors about animals and their habitats. Environmental and social awareness play a vital role in our message that highlights the indigenous culture and human influence on the environment.
**The Position**
This is an outstanding opportunity to be part of an exciting team at Sydney zoo in the role of our Event Manager, utilising your skills in an area that you are genuinely passionate about. This role will commence as soon as possible.
The Event Manager oversees the efficient and effective operations of events and functions, including but not limited to signature events, member events and charity events.
**Skills, Knowledge, and Relevant Experience**
**Essential**
- Minimum 5 years’ relevant experience in an equivalent position which must include end-to-end event management.
- Clear and professional communication skills, internally & externally.
- Excellent written communication skills
- Relevant experience in design and styling of events and functions.
- Qualifications in Project Management and experience (client & supplier management, budgeting and producing).
- Work autonomously as well as under direction.
- Collaborate well with others and be a strong negotiator and influencer.
- Multi-task skills and able to work well under pressure.
- Excellent time management and prioritisation skills.
