Your responsibilities may include:
- Assist with personal care, including showering
- Support the client on outings (e.g. food shopping, visiting family)
- Provide transport assistance when required
- Assist with meal preparation, including helping make dinner on some shifts
- Support the client with diabetes management, including assistance with insulin (as per training and care plan)
- Maintain a safe, supportive, and respectful workplace About you
- Experience in care, support work, customer service, or informal caring roles, with transferable skills applicable to disability support
- Demonstrates a strong commitment to person-centred care, with a genuine passion for supporting individuals to live independently and achieve their goals
- Brings a caring, empathetic, and patient approach to all interactions, ensuring participants feel respected, heard, and understood
- Values the importance of building trust and maintaining consistent, reliable support for participants and their families
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to actively listen and adapt to a range of communication needs and styles
- Understands the importance of choice, dignity, and inclusion in line with NDIS principles
- Ability to remain calm and responsive in challenging situations, using problem-solving and emotional intelligence Mandatory Requirements:
- Open to travelling as we have clients in locations such as Plumpton, Bidwill and Picton.
- Resume
- Valid driver’s license/ Reliable Vehicle
- Comprehensive Car Insurance
- First Aid certificate
- CPR certificate
- Current WWCC (or willing to obtain)
- Current Police check (or willing to obtain)
- NDIS Modules (or willing to obtain)
