- Great Work Culture and Supportive Shared Services Team Support our business strategy & contribute to the broader finance team by ensuring the team deliver first class operational and performance reporting. Role Summary: The Financial Accountant role will contribute to the broader finance team while ensuring that the Shared Service Accounting team deliver operational and performance reporting to ensure the success of the Australian and Recent Zealand businesses. Key Responsibilities:
- Accountable for ensuring all month end reconciliations, journal entries and regular monthly reports are completed on time and are accurate
- Responsibility for reconciliation and clearing of balance sheets on a monthly basis
- Responsible for ensuring all journals are processed
- Main point of contact for Business Unit related queries and issues
- Participating in the annual budgeting and regular forecasting process as required
- Responsible for investigating and resolving inaccuracies and anomalies that arise using problem solving skills and strong financial accounting skills
- Ensuring all data is validated and accurately processed into the general ledger
- Review and discuss results with relevant commercial teams
- Ensuring that we deliver genuine Service to our customers
- Management of Assistant Accountant(s) About You:
- Bachelor’s degree in finance and/or Accounting, with CPA qualification completed
- Minimum 2 years’ experience in a financial accounting role within a medium to large organisation
- Strong reconciliation and financial accounting knowledge, with the ability to meet deadlines
- Intermediate to Advanced Microsoft Excel skills (Word and PowerBI highly regarded)
- Strong numeracy, analytical and conceptual thinking skills
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to influence and gain commitment from stakeholders
- Self-starter who works effectively both independently and within a team
- Highly organised with strong planning, follow-up and attention to detail
- Adaptable and able to maintain effectiveness during change
- Customer-focused, with the ability to build trust and strong working relationships
- Demonstrated initiative and ability to achieve outcomes within required timeframes
