Bookkeeper - Part Time (Rowville)

Book Keeper / Flexible hours

1 to 2 days per week.

Sohum is a Melbourne based company producing its own brand of premium Fragrance ranges including Candles, home fragrances, Perfumes & Body Care.

We’re seeking an experienced book keeper, The role is 1 to 2 days per week, and offers flexibility of hours.

The position: To accurately maintain records of financial nature, posting accurate information into accounting software.

Tasks include: Processing receipts & payments associated with the companies debtors and creditors.

Reconciling accounts to ensure accuracy and compliance.

Monitoring accounts receivables and payables and liaising with customers and suppliers as necessary.

Maintaining accurate accounts data including General ledger, bank reconciliation & Profit & Loss and Balance sheet preparation.

Preparing information for external accountants.

Preparation of all quarterly and monthly lodgement requirements.

Data entry & generating reports of a general day to day nature.

Skills required: Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Strong computer skills including word / excell / outlook.

The ability to work independently.

Proven experience with accounts payable & receivables.

Experienced in using accounting software such as Xero, Quickbooks etc.

Experience in Access Attaché is advantageous.

- MYOB: 1 year (preferred)
- Xero: 1 year (preferred)
