About the role: Ready to shape the voice of one of Australia’s leading global wine businesses? We are looking for a creative, commercially minded, and people-focused Communications Manager to join our team in Balmain, Sydney, on a 13-month parental leave contract. This is a hands-on and strategic role where no two days look the same. From media engagement and corporate communications to employee storytelling, partnerships, events, and brand reputation, you will play a key role in how we connect with our people, customers, partners, and communities globally. Reporting to the Chief People & Communications Officer, you will partner closely with senior leaders, brand teams, and external stakeholders to deliver a range of internal and external communication strategies and materials for a variety of channels to enhance the company’s reputation and foster connection with our people. We are open to flexible working arrangements for the right candidate, including a 0.8 FTE arrangement across either 4 days or reduced hours across 5 days. - Lead and deliver global internal and external communications strategies across Australian Vintage and its portfolio of brands
- Drive media engagement, PR opportunities, thought leadership, and corporate storytelling initiatives
- Manage key corporate communications including Annual Report, leadership messaging, and AGM support
- Create engaging internal communications that strengthen culture, connection, and employee engagement
- Build strong relationships with journalists, media partners, agencies, and industry stakeholders
- Support brand teams with strategic communications, partnerships, sponsorships, and campaigns
- Lead awards submissions, speaking opportunities, and industry engagement initiatives
- Oversee corporate website and LinkedIn content management, enquiries and updates
- Monitor industry trends, competitor activity, and reputational risks and opportunities
- Provide regular reporting and communications insights to key stakeholders
- Manage budgets, timelines, and project deliverables across communications initiatives where required What you’ll bring:
- Experience in communications, PR, corporate affairs, or brand communications roles
- A strong storyteller with exceptional written and verbal communication skills
- Confidence working with senior stakeholders and building trusted relationships across the business
- Experience managing media relationships and delivering strategic communications initiatives
- A collaborative and proactive mindset with the ability to juggle multiple priorities
- Creativity, commercial thinking, and a genuine passion for brand and reputation building
- Strong organisational and project management skills with excellent attention to detail
