Café Cook/ All Rounder - Temporary 3-Month position (North …, North Ryde

We are seeking a reliable and experienced Café Cook / All-Rounder to manage our small kitchen operations at Piccolo Me Macquarie Hospital while also assisting with general café duties. This role suits someone who enjoys a hands-on environment and can confidently prepare quality food while supporting the front of house when needed. This position is for a 3-month temporary role with potential extension. Key Responsibilities:
- Take full responsibility for daily kitchen operations
- Prepare sandwiches, breakfast, and lunch items
- Handle food preparation and catering orders
- Maintain a clean, organised, and efficient kitchen
- Ensure all food safety and hygiene standards are met
- Complete daily prep and stock rotation
- Assist with other café tasks as required, including:
- Taking customer orders
- Making coffee and drinks
- General customer service support Requirements:
- Previous experience as a cook in a café or similar setting
- Ability to work independently and manage kitchen workflow
- Strong knowledge of food safety and hygiene practices
- Food Safety Supervisor certification is a plus
- Basic barista skills or willingness to learn
- Reliable, organized, and team-oriented
