Exciting opportunity for a Teaching and Leadership academic to develop and contribute to innovative and impactful teaching in Health Sciences.- Salary Package: Lecturer (Level B), from $119,840 to $141,790 p.a., plus 17% employer’s superannuation and annual leave loading- Appointment Type: Full time, fixed-term (2 years)- Macquarie University (Wallumattagal Campus, North Ryde)
The Role
We seek a highly motivated Physiotherapist to join our department as Lecturer for appointment to the Teaching and Leadership job family. You will have expertise in teaching and convening Health Sciences related programs and lead the development and delivery of education to train future health professionals in telehealth.
Reporting to the Head of Department, the Teaching and Leadership Academic will be expected to coordinate the Faculty’s Connected Curriculum initiative, contribute to teaching in Health Sciences programs, and fulfil service roles to the Department and/or Faculty.
About You
You will be actively engaged in Health Sciences education, with a focus on telehealth and be able to contribute to areas such as Exercise and Sport Science, Physiotherapy, Human Sciences and Nursing. You will have experience with, or a willingness to embrace, educational technology, blended learning and educational innovation. In addition, ideally you will be able to demonstrate an understanding of the integration between research/practice and quality teaching, and how this integration can enhance student engagement.
