**About the Role**
We have an exciting opportunity to join our team as Building Compliance Officer. As a member of the Building Compliance team, you will look after building compliance, and enforcement services to ensure compliance with building standards and legislation across the city for all forms of development and uses. Your role will investigate and follow up compliance issues, including issuing Development Control Orders, Penalty Infringement Notices and managing legal prosecutions.
**About You**
- Tertiary qualifications in building surveying, town planning, law, regulatory and enforcement or other suitable relevant qualifications.
- Technically astute with extensive experience in development control and regulatory enforcement.
- Excellent time management and organisational skills with demonstrated ability to undertake a range of projects and tasks, address issues promptly, and prioritise work to meet deadlines and performance targets.
- High level of interpersonal communication with proven conflict resolution skills.
- Sound working knowledge of relevant legislation such as the Environmental Planning and Assessment Act, Local Government Act and State Environmental Planning Policies.
- Current NSW Drivers Licence
In return we offer you a commencing salary from **$101,867.91 p.a**. plus superannuation** (commensurate with your skills and experience), flexible working conditions, and the option to be part of Council’s RDO scheme.
