Café Cook/ All Rounder Temporary 3 Month Position North Ryde

We are seeking a reliable and experienced Café Cook / All-Rounder to manage our small kitchen operations at Piccolo Me Macquarie Hospital while also assisting with general café duties. This role suits someone who enjoys a hands-on setting and can confidently prepare quality food while supporting the front of house when needed.

This position is for a 3-month temporary role with potential extension.

Key Responsibilities Take full responsibility for daily kitchen operations Prepare sandwiches, breakfast, and lunch items Handle food preparation and catering orders Maintain a clean, organised, and effective kitchen Ensure all food safety and hygiene standards are met Complete daily prep and stock rotation Assist with other café tasks as required, including: Taking customer orders Making coffee and drinks General customer service support

Requirements:

Previous experience as a cook in a café or similar setting Ability to work independently and manage kitchen workflow Strong knowledge of food safety and hygiene practices Food Safety Supervisor certification is a plus Basic barista skills or willingness to learn Reliable, organized, and team-oriented Good communication and time management skills
