Join a supportive and collaborative finance team within a global business based in North Ryde offering 2 days working from home + free parking on-site. This is a permanent Assistant Accountant prospect, ideal for someone looking to build on their accounting foundations and grow their career within a stable organisation.
Reporting to the Finance Manager you will play a key role in maintaining accurate financial records, supporting month-end and year-end processes, and assisting with a broad range of accounting and finance duties. This role offers exposure across the finance function and the opportunity to develop your technical skills in a professional environment.

The responsibilities: Support month-end and year-end close activities Analyse daily stock movements and investigated discrepancies with operational staff.
Be the first point of contact for any discrepancies or stock related enquires
Complete allocated Balance Sheet Reconciliations
Prepare and process journal entries to ensure accurate general ledger records Assist with supplier payments and maintain up-to-date accounts payable invoices Assist with budget preparation and variance analysis Respond to internal and external queries regarding financial transactions Ensure compliance with company policies and accounting standards Provide support during audit and tax engagements Perform general administrative duties to support the finance function
About you: Previous experience in a similar Assistant Accountant Good work ethic, quick-learner and keen to get stuck into the role!
Strong communication skills and a willingness to learn Either completed CPA/CA or working towards
