Reporting directly to the General Manager, you will have the autonomy to manage your direct reports while working in a cohesive and inspirational management team. - Ensuring highly effective operation is in place consistently
- Overseeing quality, repairs and maintenance on gym floor and wet areas
- Providing leadership, motivation and innovation to the teams
- Recruiting, training and developing staff
- Proactively managing member feedback
- Ensuring gym equipment is maintained to an excellent standard
- Delivering operational support to all fitness departments of group exercise, personal training, gym and swim school
- Ensuring the overall cleanliness and exceptional presentation of the health and fitness areas Qualifications
- A passion for high quality customer service
- Demonstrated senior management of gym, group exercise and swim school programs, personal training while ensuring safety, growth and quality
- Proven ability to develop, propose and implement ideas
- Experience with setting and meeting performance targets and motivating staff
- Possess natural leadership qualities
- Strong interest and passionate about health & fitness industry
- The ability to manage, mentor and motivate staff
- Experience managing public swimming facilities
- Extensive operational experience and team focused qualities Education and Qualifications
- Minimum of 4 years supervisory experience within the industry
- Senior First Aid & CPR
- A current Working with Children clearance
- Recognized health and fitness qualifications to a minimum level 4 (Australia only and NZ equivalent)
- Sound financial Skills
- Tertiary qualification within the Health/Fitness and Management field is favourable Please note: Adaptable hours and days are required for this role.
