About the Role

Key responsibilities
Contribute to the effectiveness of the organisation by developing, initiating implementing and evaluating internal and external communication plans and programs to promote and support the role
Provide a range of information services which include the writing of articles, publications, presentation materials, internal and external newsletters, website information and annual reports
Plan, source, research, write, edit, proofread, prepare and co-ordinate the distribution of materials such as those described above
Manage communication projects and programs within allocated timeframes and budgets
Prepare correspondence and other materials as required, including responses to inquiries received from the media and the Media Unit at the Department
Maintain and continuously improve the website to ensure content is relevant and energetic, and provide assistance in review of current content and materials, training and coaching to staff in maintenance of individual pages
Monitor media, publications and other sources (such as websites and social media) for pertinent items an distribute these to the relevant stakeholders
About You
Experience in developing, implementing and evaluating communications plans, protocols and programs
Demonstrated experience in the production of written material including media releases, newsletters and website information
Experience in developing and maintaining online content across a number of related websites and in use of other electronic communications mediums including social media
Relevant tertiary qualifications or experience
