Chef (Taylors Lakes)

Located in Shop 130, Watergardens Shopping Centre, 399 Melton Hwy, Taylors Lakes, VIC 3038, Cafe Lelunar is currently seeking a qualified Full Time Chef to join our friendly team. We are looking for experienced and dedicated Chef who is committed to exceeding our customers' expectations whilst leading a professional and hardworking team. The eligible candidates will be performing the following duties:
· Designing and updating menu and prices as per the needs of the business.
· Consistently ensuring all dishes are prepared to our high standard.
· Controlling and directing food preparation process and any other kitchen related duties.
· Monitor and record of inventory and if necessary, order supplies.
· Ensure OH&S; and food hygiene requirements are met.
· Work unsupervised and in a team while maintaining a secure and friendly working environment.
· Assist in overseeing kitchen operations, ordering and stock control. To be considered for this role you will need to possess the following:
· Advanced understanding and appreciation of all aspects of food and its service
· Experience in Italian cuisine a strong advantage.
· 2 + years of proven kitchen experience in a rapid paced, high-volume environment
· Flexible availability
· Strong leadership, motivational and people skills
· Effective communication skills
