Café Manager (St Kilda)

**Full job description**

An exciting opportunity for a dynamic Café Manager to join a new venue in the heart of St Kilda to lead our front-of-house operations. This is a fantastic opportunity for an individual with a passion for hospitality, exceptional leadership skills, and a commitment to providing outstanding customer service in a fast-paced and creative environment. A Manager who has experience in start up cafés is a plus!

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Oversee the daily operations of the café, ensuring efficiency and a high standard of service.
- Create a culture that is welcoming, safe and inclusive for all staff.
- Lead, train, and motivate the front-of-house team to deliver excellent customer experiences.
- Manage staff schedules, ensuring adequate coverage for all shifts.
- Maintain inventory control, manage supplier relationships, and oversee ordering of stock.
- Ensure compliance with health, safety, and hygiene regulations.
- Monitor financial performance, control costs, and achieve revenue targets.
- Develop and implement initiatives to enhance customer satisfaction and business growth.
- Handle customer inquiries, complaints, and feedback in a professional manner.
- Collaborate with the kitchen team to ensure seamless service and product quality.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming setting for customers and staff.

**Qualifications**:

- Proven experience as a Café Manager or in a similar leadership role within the hospitality industry.
- Strong leadership and team management skills with the ability to inspire and mentor staff.
- Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to multitask, prioritize, and perform well under pressure.
- Knowledge of POS systems, stock control, and financial reporting.
- Understanding of food safety regulations and best practices.
- Availability to work a rotating roster, including weekends and public holidays.
