- **Salary Range Band 6 $95,799- $104,420 plus 11.5% Super**:

**About the Organisation**

The City of Port Phillip is an inner-city council with around 1000 employees who deliver more than 100 programs and services to our residents, businesses, and visitors. These range from childcare and immunisations, to libraries, management of parks and open space, rubbish collection, road maintenance and more. **About the Role**

The key objectives of this role are to:

- Map services and identify gaps, proposing innovative responses through increasing community capacity development, research and advocacy.
- Deliver high quality programs for young people. Implement monitoring and evaluation processes for programs and events. Seek to improve on service delivery and ensure adaptability to address emerging community trends.
- Engage with relevant internal and external stakeholders across the community to develop partnerships and networks to promote Youth Services and to support program development and delivery.

**Duties**:

- Safely work within family and youth friendly approaches to ensure a transparent understanding of their needs, trends and engagement opportunities for children, young people, and families.
- Organise and facilitate The City of Port Phillip’s Youth Advisory Committee meetings.
- Ensure the Youth Advisory Committee and its members function as outlined in the terms of reference.
- Work collaboratively and responsively with internal and external stakeholders to ensure the best outcomes.
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of youth programs and evaluation processes, including the collection of data, service mapping, reporting, effective communications, and advocacy opportunities.
- Provide young people of Port Phillip with leadership and advocacy opportunities such as the Youth Summit (or similar programs).
- Where needed, provide in generalist case management support and/or brief intervention to young people aged 12-25.

**Skills and Experience**
- A relevant tertiary qualification in youth, social work or community sector. This may include qualifications of an education and/or recreational nature.
- Substantial experience in engaging youth within a community setting, particularly in operating across diverse community settings.
- Experience with client management, intervention and prevention practices desirable.
- Experience with youth engagement and partnership building.
- Experience with youth program evaluation and continuous improvement.
