Kitchen Preparation Assistant (St Kilda)

**The Role**

Black Star Pastry is thriving and we're looking for a casual or part-time Kitchen Preparation Assistant to join the team in our St Kilda Production Kitchen at Melbourne’s iconic Prince of Wales precinct.

Your main responsibilities will include the preparation and cutting of fruit and other garnishes that are a key ingredient in the crafting of our acclaimed cakes.

The nature of the work is quite repetitive and would suit someone comfortable with this and able to maintain quality and attention to detail.

We offer reliable day time hours, stable employment and the rare opportunity to achieve work/life balance in a hospitality role.

Ideal availability would be Monday, Tuesday and Thursday.

**About You**
- Previous experience in a kitchen environment.
- Able to build effective and constructive relationships

- Ability to communicate clearly, professionally and concisely.
- Exceptional organisational skills.
- Positive judgement and confident to make informed decisions.
- Ability to adapt and be flexible to changing business demands.
