Newly created to uplift internal finance capability Multi-entity structure | Work directly with SLT
The Opportunity Our client is one of Australia's largest QSR franchise operators, with a significant multi-entity structure spanning retail operations, property holdings, and corporate entities. The business generates substantial revenue, and up to this point the finance function has been largely transactional. They are looking for someone to uplift the finance function by implementing stronger financial oversight, management reporting, and commercial insight to support the founder in driving future growth and better business decisions. This role will take the lead of a small team of bookkeepers who will continue to deliver on the month-to-month transactional processing, while this role elevates the function to provide the strategic financial lens the business has been missing.
The Challenge Reporting to the Principal your key responsibilities will include the following:
Introduce management reporting, cash flow modelling, and commercial store performance analysis
Process map system controls and build scalable financial infrastructure
Manage lender reporting requirements, including preparation of half-yearly banking packs and financing documentation
Lead, mentor, and develop a team of two existing bookkeepers
Support broader tax and compliance obligations including FBT reporting, vehicle data management, and process coordination
Lead EOFY payroll reconciliation, ATO submission, payroll tax, super, and workcover
Oversee BAS/IAS compliance across all entities
The Expertise Please consider expressing interest in this position if you possess the following:
CA or CPA qualified with 5-7 years’ experience, ideally from public practice
Analytically minded with commercial curiosity and the ability to move beyond compliance
Strong commercial performance analysis and financial reporting skills
Natural leader capable of influencing and introducing change
Strong working knowledge of BAS, payroll tax, FBT, and EOFY processes across multi-entity structures
MYOB exposure advantageous
