About The Role

We are seeking a capable and team-oriented

Project Accountant

to support a major decommissioning project based in our Southbank office, Melbourne. This role offers the opportunity to play a key part in ensuring effective financial management across a large‐scale and technically complex project, partnering closely with project and commercial teams to deliver accurate reporting and insights.

Key Responsibilities

Prepare, monitor and analyse project financials, including budgets, forecasts and cost tracking

Partner with project teams to provide financial insights and support decision‐making

Ensure accurate and timely monthly reporting, including variance analysis

Support project governance through compliance with financial controls and processes

Assist in financial planning, cash flow management and cost control initiatives

About You

Experience in a project accounting or finance role, ideally within construction, engineering or infrastructure

Strong analytical and problem‐solving skills with attention to detail

Collaborative approach with the ability to build trusted relationships across teams

Effective communication skills, able to explain financial information clearly

Relevant qualification in Accounting, Finance or related discipline
