ABOUT THE OPPORTUNITIES We have multiple vacancies for Aircraft Maintenance Engineer (Avionics) within our Hawk Lead-In Fighter program. These positions are based at RAAF Base Williamtown, NSW. Relocation support is available for candidates living outside the Williamtown, Hunter, and Maitland region. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Carry out maintenance, inspections, and fault diagnosis on avionic systems and components across both fixed‑wing and rotary‑wing aircraft.
- Ensure all work is performed using authorised technical data, compliant with regulatory and organisational standards.
- Accurately document maintenance activities, meeting certification and reporting requirements within required timeframes.
- Action engineering advice, defect reporting, maintenance deficiencies, and publication amendments as directed.
- Report and escalate any defects, non‑conformances, or quality issues to the Team Leader in line with procedures.
- Perform maintenance tasks within your delegated authority while upholding the highest standards of safety, quality, and compliance. ABOUT YOU
- Hold an Aircraft Maintenance Trade i.e. Cert IV Aeroskills – Avionics (Mandatory).
- Australian Citizen with the ability to obtain a Defence Clearance (Mandatory).
- Experience or a strong interest in working with Defence Military Aircraft.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to deliver work within a rapid‑paced team environment.
