Assistant Fitness Manager (Long Beach)

Assistant Fitness Manager (Personal Training Sales) – responsible for driving personal training sales, building a strong PT team, and ensuring exceptional member experience. Reports to Fitness Manager. Position Purpose Build a cohesive PT team, keep a healthy client pipeline, and deliver outstanding fitness experiences. Responsibilities
- Ensure daily sales targets are met, including covering for the Fitness Manager.
- Drive sales by promoting personal training packages and building rapport with members.
- Achieve and exceed sales targets for personal training services and small‑group training.
- Collaborate with membership sales team to support new member onboarding and transition.
- Conduct personalized welcome workouts for new members to assess fitness needs.
- Guide new members through initial club experience, promoting retention and engagement.
- Facilitate career development for personal trainers through coaching.
- Communicate goals, expectations, and procedures to staff.
- Supervise facility cleanliness and maintenance of equipment.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and maintain certifications. Qualifications
- 2-3 years of customer service experience.
- 1 year of sales experience.
- 1 year of supervisory experience.
- Interest or experience in the fitness industry.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Excellent relationship building and influencing skills.
- Strong detail orientation, systematic problem‑solving, time management, organization, and record‑keeping.
- Excellent MS Office skills.

- Work nights and weekends.
- Pass background check.
- Valid Personal Training certification.
- CPR certification within 30 days of hire.
- Ability to work in a gym setting, move around, communicate with staff and members.
- Ability to bend, lift more than 40 lbs regularly.
- Ability to use computer system including preparing documents, data entry, and report reading. Eligible for Additional Compensation
