As a senior member of our clinical team at Glengarry Private Hospital , you will review, plan, oversee and deliver patient care within the Endoscopy Unit under the guidance and support of the Director of Clinical Services. The Nurse Unit Manager (NUM) for an Endoscopy Unit provides operational and clinical leadership to optimize high-volume patient throughput, ensure strict adherence to infection control and reprocessing standards, and lead a multidisciplinary team in delivering safe, efficient perioperative care. The Nurse Unit Manager (NUM) role combines clinical expertise, operational planning and supportive leadership to enable the nursing team to provide a high standard of quality care to our patients. Key Responsibilities Include
- Clinical, operational and professional leadership of the Endoscopy services.
- Ensuring safe, high-quality patient care and optimal clinical outcomes.
- Managing rostering, staffing, budgets and resource allocation.
- Planning, implementing and evaluating practices in line with Ramsay Health Care standards and legislative requirements.
- Mentoring and developing nursing staff to support professional growth.
- Knowledge and application of GENCA guidelines About You To succeed in this role, you will demonstrate strong clinical knowledge and leadership capability within a high functioning Endoscopy Unit. - Current registration with AHPRA as a Registered Nurse (essential).
- Minimum 3-5 years recent experience in a leadership role, in a hospital environment desirable.
- Experience in Endoscopy nursing
- Demonstrated clinical leadership experience or relevant post-graduate qualifications.
- Proven ability to manage and develop a nursing team.
