Venue Manager | Brighton Wine Bar (Scarborough)

Brighton Wine Bar is a brand‑recent coastal wine bar, located in the heart of Scarborough Beach and focused on Western Australian wines, local produce and genuine hospitality. We’re searching for an experienced Venue Manager to lead our team and help shape the venue as we settle into our opening months. This is a rare opportunity to join at the very beginning, refine the service style, build the team culture, and create a venue the Scarborough community will love. We’re locally based owner‑operators with 30+ years of combined hospitality experience, and a genuine passion for great food, wine and hospitality. Our vision is to create a relaxed yet refined coastal wine bar where wine, service and people are at the heart of the experience. Who We're Looking For
- Strong wine knowledge and a genuine passion for wine (sommelier experience highly regarded)
- Experience conceptualising and delivering wine & food pairing events, tastings and hosted experiences
- An understanding of how food and wine work together to create memorable guest moments
- A natural ability to build rapport with guests and create meaningful connections
- A hands‑on leadership style with a positive, supportive approach
- The confidence to help shape service standards, systems and training from day one The Role As Venue Manager, you will work closely with the owners to guide the team and continue developing Brighton Wine Bar as we move through the opening stage. Key responsibilities include:
- Leading and managing the front‑of‑house team
- Maintaining high service standards and guest experience
- Recruiting, training and mentoring staff
- Supporting the wine and beverage program
- Hosting wine tastings, pairing dinners and special events
- Working with the kitchen and ownership team to create thoughtful wine & food pairing experiences
