The Opportunity Join our Sydney Roads and Asset Performance portfolio as a leader of the Civil and ITS Maintenance and Network Delivery Hub. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring all maintenance activities are delivered safely and meet targets across time, cost, quality, productivity, and operational performance. As a key member of the Contract Management Team (CMT), you will contribute to the overall success of the project by driving strategic objectives, including developing operational capability, delivering service excellence, achieving strong financial outcomes and meeting contractual KPIs. - Maintain a strong understanding of contract maintenance (civil and ITS) and network management, including traffic operations
- Lead and develop the Civil and ITS team to deliver high performance outcomes
- Build and sustain collaborative relationships with clients, stakeholders, subcontractors and suppliers
- Work cross‑functionally with asset management, planning, project delivery, environment, procurement, finance and QA teams
- Ensure minor capital works meet quality standards and hold‑point requirements
- Oversee financial performance through effective forecasting, budgeting and programming
- Drive sustainable practices, resource planning and continuous improvement initiatives
- Maintain accurate records to support informed decision‑making
- Lead secure, effective incident response and ensure compliance with risk, quality and HSE systems and statutory obligations
- Deliver strong SHEQ outcomes, champion a “Safe for Life” culture and lead by example
- Build a high‑performing, collaborative and client‑focused team aligned to strategic objectives About You
- Hold a current driver’s licence
- Extensive experience in road maintenance and operations
- Working knowledge of Transport for NSW (TfNSW) standards and requirements (desirable)
- Strong verbal and written communication skills, with experience engaging directly with clients
- Proven time management and organisational skills
- Demonstrated experience managing project budgets and forecasting
- Ability to effectively lead and manage people from diverse cultural backgrounds
- Strong leadership capabilities, including conflict resolution, negotiation and stakeholder alignment to achieve outcomes
