Job Impact As a Retail Security Officer, you’ll be the face of safety on-site—helping protect customers, staff, and assets in busy retail environments. Your visible presence and quick response will help prevent incidents, reduce risk, and create a safe and welcoming space for everyone. About the role This is a fast-paced, customer-facing role where no two shifts are the same. You’ll be working across retail sites providing a strong security presence, monitoring activity, and responding to incidents as they arise. You’ll combine strong situational awareness with great customer service—supporting both safety and a positive in-store experience. Job Location: Mount Druitt, NSW Contract: Permanent part-time & casual opportunities available Pay Rate: SSIA Level 4 Shift Pattern: Ability to work rotating day and night shifts of 12 hours Key Responsibilities
- Conduct routine patrols and security checks
- Maintain a visible security presence to deter theft and anti-social behaviour
- Monitor CCTV and on-site activity, identifying and responding to risks
- Respond to incidents and de-escalate conflicts professionally and safely
- Provide excellent customer service while supporting store operations and safety About You
- Must have Security Licence, Classification 1A (Unarmed Guarding)
- Valid First Aid Certificate (3 years validity) with current CPR Certificate (1 year validity)
- Ability to clear an Australian Police Check
- Strong communication and customer service skills
- Ability to remain calm and professional in busy retail environments
- Positive observation skills and confidence to manage and de-escalate incidents Why Join Certis
