**About the opportunity**

We are seeking motivated Trainee Building Surveyors with excellent customer service skills.

You will provide effective and timely support to our Building Surveyors in their building certification, assessment and regulatory functions within our City Planning and Development Services directorate. In return, you will gain a broad range of Building Surveying experience including building certification and inspections, development assessment as well as a range of fire safety and regulatory control responsibilities.

Successful applicants will also be required to successfully undertake relevant tertiary studies and will have their university course expenses covered (conditions apply).

**Qualifications and experience**

**Essential**:

- Eligible for enrolment, or currently enrolled, in a relevant university degree course
- Current Class C Driver's Licence.

**Remuneration and benefits**

The salary and conditions of employment are in accordance with Blacktown City Council’s Enterprise Agreement.
- Trainee rates apply
- 35-hour working week
