Health & Safety Business Partner Glendenning, NSW We’re seeking a highly capable Health & Safety Business Partner to support a critical, high‑risk operational site in Glendenning, NSW. This is a hands‑on, embedded role in a complex environment with significant fixed assets, yellow gear, and heavy machinery, in a dynamic operational setting. About The Role Reporting to the Senior HSE BP, you will be the key safety partner on site, working closely with operations to manage risk, uplift capability and embed a proactive safety culture. You Will
- Partner with frontline leaders and operational teams to drive safety performance and culture
- Provide expert guidance on high‑risk activities, plant safety and hazard management
- Lead and facilitate risk assessments (e.g. HAZOP, bowties, ICAM, HIRAC, LOPA)
- Support incident investigations and root cause analysis
- Deliver and embed HSE strategy, systems and improvement initiatives
- Ensure compliance with legislation, standards and internal frameworks
- Analyse trends and influence preventative actions across the site
- Build strong relationships to coach, influence and challenge stakeholders at all levels About The Site
- High‑risk operational workplace with significant mobile plant and heavy machinery
- Fast‑paced, dynamic site with multiple competing priorities
- Strong focus on operational excellence, safety leadership and risk reduction
- Support from National HSE teams About You You are a credible, hands‑on HSE professional who is comfortable being on the ground, engaging with operators, and influencing leaders in a high‑risk setting. You Bring
- 5+ years’ experience in a Health & Safety Business Partner / HSE advisory role
- Strong experience in high‑risk, industrial or heavy environments (e.g., waste, construction, manufacturing, infrastructure, chemicals)
- Deep capability in risk assessment, process safety and hazard management
- Experience working around mobile plant, heavy equipment and complex operations
- Proven ability to lead investigations and implement meaningful corrective actions
- Strong stakeholder engagement skills with the ability to influence and challenge operational leaders
- A proactive, resilient approach with a strong continuous improvement mindset Qualifications
- Degree in Health & Safety, Engineering or related discipline
