- Liaise with system users to document requirements or specifications, understanding their needs, goals, and limitations
- Undertake software analysis, design, development, and testing
- Apply software‑related methodologies, processes, standards, and tools to solve complex problems
- Translate and implement straightforward development project requirements into database structures and code
- Apply data analysis and modelling techniques to establish, modify, or maintain data structures and associated components
- Analyse code and systems for potential security vulnerabilities and modify code to prevent such vulnerabilities
- Assist in investigating and resolving application issues by correcting program errors, preparing instructions, and analysing system capabilities and output requirements to meet software standards
- Collaborate as part of an Agile team, contributing to program delivery through configuration and version control
- Engage in independent learning to improve knowledge of software development Qualifications
- Australian Citizen who can obtain and maintain an active Top Secret AGSVA security clearance
- Recent completion of a Bachelor's Degree in one of the following disciplines:
- Software Engineering
- Software Development
- Information Technology
- Computer Science
- Systems Engineering
