About the role Reporting to the Compliance Manager, the plays a key role in creating and fostering a strong culture of compliance across Toyota Finance Australia (TFA). This position is responsible for developing, overseeing, and monitoring governance processes and controls, as well as assessing the effectiveness of the Compliance Program across the business. This position is based in Scoresby, Melbourne. How you'll make an impact
- Support the Head of Compliance and Compliance Managers in the ongoing development, maintenance, and enhancement of TFA's Compliance Program.
- Track identified compliance exceptions or deficiencies, provide remediation recommendations, and collaborate with business stakeholders to ensure timely resolution.
- Monitor business planning, strategy, and activities (including projects) to identify potential compliance risks and initiate risk evaluations.
- Assist in developing and coordinating the implementation of compliance risk management strategies, programs, and initiatives.
- Provide Compliance Subject Matter Expert (SME) support to projects across the business.
- Maintain and enhance governance‑related policies and programs, where required.
- Provide practical guidance, advice, training, and education to improve awareness and understanding of applicable laws and regulatory requirements.
- Independently investigate and act on compliance‑related matters.
- Relevant tertiary qualifications and experience in compliance, law, audit, management, or a related discipline.
- Proven experience working in compliance (or a related field) within financial services.
- Solid stakeholder management skills, with the ability to negotiate and influence at all levels internally and externally.
- Confidence to challenge, push back, and have difficult conversations when required.
- A solid understanding of legislative and regulatory requirements, including but not limited to:
- NCCP
- Corporations Act
- AML Act
- Privacy Act
- Demonstrated ownership, initiative, and a strong results‑driven mindset.
- Strong planning capability with the ability to think strategically while managing immediate priorities.
