Telecommunications Linesworker

**Salary**: $70,000
- $80,000 per year

Full time Position; Approx. 38 hours per week

M&F; Anderson is a technical services company based in Adelaide, South Australia specializing in the broad spectrum of Telecommunication Tools and Audio Visual sectors. As an integrated company it comprises skill sets from both industries to deliver high end solutions to small and large-scale enterprises.

M&F; Anderson is currently looking for a telecommunications linesworker. This is a full time position and it includes the following responsibilities:

- Reviewing drawings, specifications, and work areas to determine the correct positioning and connections for telecommunications equipment installation
- Installing telecommunications equipment and appliances, including telephones, switchboards, and data transmission systems
- Installing cabling for telephone, radio, pay TV, and computer networks
- Connecting wires and cables to appliances and securing cable sheaths using materials such as lead and thermoplastic
- Erecting, testing, and maintaining aerial and underground wires and cables, as well as radio and mobile phone antennae
- Identifying and locating faults in telecommunications equipment using instruments such as ohmmeters, voltmeters, ammeters, and transmission measuring devices
- Adjusting, repairing, or replacing faulty components and testing equipment with electronic instruments

Applicants must possess a minimum of one year of experience as a Telecommunications Linesworker or in a closely related field.

Formal qualifications such as a Certificate, Diploma, or higher degree in Information Technology, Telecommunications Engineering, or a related discipline will be considered highly advantageous.
