The Role
An exciting opportunity exists for an enthusiastic and hard-working employee to join our inclusive Adbri Cement team in the position of Production Services Operator.
This full-time 12-month contract role will see you based at our Birkenhead plant, contributing to the cement manufacturing process from day one within an organisational culture focused on continuous improvement. You will receive on the job training development!
As a member of the Production Services team, you will work predominantly day shift, with relief rotating shift work as required.
You will be given the prospect to convert to permanent once competent.

Responsibilities
Perform manual physical work on the plant including labouring and cleaning
Load and unload materials and products to/from ships
Operate fixed and mobile machinery
Provide relief to shift operations where required
Undertake training to obtain additional licences necessary for the role
What you will need to succeed
Exhibit a robust commitment to workplace, quality, health, safety and well being
Possess a desire for further career development with a proactive and positive attitude
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Desirable to hold a current HR, forklift, front-end-loader, and skid steer license.
Be physically fit and comfortable when working in confined spaces
Have an aptitude for all things mechanical
Have basic computing skills
Show initiative to succeed when troubleshooting and problem solving
Demonstrate an ability to work as part of a team but equally at home working autonomously.
