Childcare Center Cook (Lake Illawarra)

Oxford Multicultural Childcare Community are family operated childcare provider located in the Illawarra. We pride ourselves on excellent standards of care and our carefully structured early childhood learning and developmental programs for children aged 6 weeks to 6 years. Requirements:
- We are ideally looking for a candidate who has a Certificate III in Commercial Cookery or equivalent (experience will be considered).
- Relevant food handling certificates.
- Current Working with Children Check.
- Ability to work independently and and under pressure.
- Excellent organisational skills. The successful candidate will be responsible for:
- The preparation and service of meals to children including breakfast, morning tea, lunch, afternoon tea and late supper.
- Preparing meals to meet the needs of children with special dietary requirements and allergies.
- Liaising with parents for the purpose of menu planning and dietary needs of children.
- Ensuring the secure and hygienic storage, handling and preparation of food and drink.
- Assist in ordering food supplies in consultation with centre supervisor.
- Maintaining required kitchen records.
- Receiving and storing food and supplies.
- Checking use by dates for all products used in the kitchen.
- Serving meals, doing dishes and cleaning kitchen.
