Librarian Grade 1 Location: Yallah and Shellharbour campuses 1 x Temporary Part‑Time position (28 hrs per week) at Yallah, until December 31, 2026. 1 x Temporary Part‑Time position (17.5 hrs per week) at Shellharbour, until September 17, 2027. Salary package: $85,313 – $111,461 (includes base salary, superannuation and annual leave loading). About the Role As a Librarian at TAFE NSW you will be the go‑to expert who connects students with the information, tools, and confidence they need to thrive. You’ll deliver dynamic, customer‑focused support both in person and online, helping learners build strong information literacy skills and navigate a wide range of digital and physical resources with ease. You’ll collaborate with teaching teams, champion our collections and digital guides, and promote innovative library services that inspire engagement across campus. About You You’re an enthusiastic and dedicated library professional passionate about delivering high‑quality library and information services. You are tech‑savvy and future‑focused, comfortable working with library systems including circulation, inventory, reporting and analytics, and eager to learn emerging technologies such as digital literacy tools and AI. You support others in developing these skills, thrive in energetic environments, and are willing to travel occasionally to maintain service continuity across the library network. Requirements
- Recognised graduate or postgraduate library qualification.
- Eligibility for ALIA Associate membership.
- Strong foundation in contemporary library practice principles, concepts and theory.
- Experience with library systems (circulation, inventory, reporting, analytics).
- Technical curiosity and ability to support emerging digital tools.
- Adaptable, collaborative, and willing to travel occasionally.
